Podstrana is a municipality in Croatia in the Split-Dalmatia county. It has a population of census, 97% which are Croats and is only 8 km away from Split. This beautiful area 6 km long is abounded with pebble beaches with mediterranean vegetation, pine wood and tamaris trees. Podstrana is wonderful touristic paradise where dominates private accomodation in comfortable houses that are situated near sea shore. Numerous local restaurants are stretching through Podstrana offering guests various local -dalmatian specialities. King Arthur is buried near Split. It is possible that he had lands on the hills above Podstrane, as the remains of Roman buildings are still present there today. Archeologists believe that he was buried in the vicinity of Podstrana. | | Directions | We are situated 8 km east of Split, along the road to Dubrovnik. Split Airport, located in Kaštela, is 35 km from Apartments Perisic.
-From the airport follow signs to Split centre.
- Before Split centre, follow the direction Omis-Makarska-Dubrovnik road, signposted (D-8).
- After 5 km you're by the entrance to "Grand Hotel Le Meridien" which is about 250 metres from Apartments Perisic.
- After Grand hotel Le Meridien on the right hand side the first house you will see signed Villa Perisic.
A transfer from the airport or town centre to the apartments is available on request. -There are local bus(number 60 Split-Omis) connections to Split city centre every 15 minutes. | | Airport | 35km Split-airport |
